Privacy Policy.
Effective September 22, 2026
Boca Labs operates Boca-Board from Arizona, USA. This policy covers our website, accounts, remote controls, and connected screens. The service is currently intended for a U.S. audience.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and sign-in activity.
- Your screens and preferences: screen names, selected games, display settings, saved views, and connection activity.
- Technical and security information: IP addresses, browser and request information, and records used to troubleshoot problems and protect accounts.
- Messages you send us: your contact details and information included in support requests.
How we use your information
We use this information to sign you in, connect your screens, remember your settings, deliver scoreboard updates, and respond to support requests. It also helps us maintain the service, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.
We use your email to send sign-in codes. Signing in does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
When we share information
We use service providers to operate the website, store account information, and deliver sign-in emails. They process the information needed to perform those functions, such as your email address for email delivery.
We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to people or the service. Boca-Board does not use advertising trackers or your account information for targeted advertising.
Cookies and saved preferences
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, recognize connected screens, and remember settings and playback activity. These are needed for parts of Boca-Board to work.
Sign-in cookies last up to 30 days, and screen-pairing cookies last up to 180 days. Some preferences remain until you change them or clear your browser storage. You can manage this storage in your browser, but clearing or blocking it may sign you out or require you to reconnect a screen.
Optional usage analytics
When analytics is enabled for the service, it is on by default. We use PostHog to understand which features are useful and where people encounter problems. This includes pages and controls used, selected games, time the scoreboard is visible, and loading or connection outcomes. We also send your public IP address to PostHog to estimate your country, region, and city; PostHog discards the IP address after processing. This is approximate network location, not GPS location. Random browser identifiers and pseudonymous account and board identifiers help us understand repeat use. For approved referral campaigns, we also remember a limited source and campaign label for up to 30 days to understand whether visitors use the scoreboard and remote control. We do not send full referring URLs or arbitrary query parameters.
We do not send your email address, screen names, sign-in codes, or pairing credentials to PostHog. We do not record your screen. You can turn analytics off at any time without affecting the scoreboard or phone control. Previously saved declines remain in effect. We honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out.
Use to change your choice on this browser. Turning it off stops future collection and removes the analytics identifiers stored here; it does not automatically delete events already received. Contact support for deletion requests. Preferences apply separately on each device.
How long we keep information
We keep account information and saved settings while your account remains open. To close your account and request deletion, contact us using the address below.
Support messages, security records, and backups may remain longer where needed to operate the service, investigate misuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Deletion from backups and service-provider systems may take additional time.
Your choices and requests
You can manage screen names, connected screens, and saved views through your remote. Signing out or disconnecting a screen does not delete your account.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, email support@boca-board.com from your account address. We will verify your request before acting and respond in accordance with applicable law. Account deletion is handled through support and removes access to your screens and saved settings.
Keeping information secure
We use safeguards to protect your information, but no service can guarantee complete security. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Children’s privacy
Boca-Board is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
