Frequently asked questions.
Getting started
What is Boca-Board?
A live NFL scoreboard that runs in your browser. It opens with All Games; click any matchup to give that game the whole scoreboard. You can watch on this device or put it on another screen.
Does it show the game broadcast?
No. Boca-Board shows scores and game information. Keep watching the broadcast through your usual TV service.
What do I need?
An internet connection and a modern web browser. No app, account, email address, or phone is required to watch. For a TV without a suitable browser, connect a computer by HDMI.
How do I start?
Select Open the scoreboard ↗. All Games appears immediately. You can accept or dismiss the full-screen prompt, stay with All Games, or click a matchup. There’s no setup wizard.
How do I put it on another screen?
On the screen you want to use, open the Boca-Board.com website and select “Open the scoreboard.” If a TV has a compatible browser, use it directly. Otherwise, connect a computer to the TV with HDMI and show its browser window there.
Do I have to go full screen?
No. Choose No at the prompt to keep watching in a browser window. Move the mouse or tap the scoreboard to reveal Enter full screen later. Browser support varies.
Do I need to install an app?
The current release runs in a browser. There is no native TV app or dedicated casting option in this release.
Is there a charge?
There is no checkout or subscription purchase in the current app. If paid features are introduced, their pricing and terms will be presented before purchase.
Optional phone control
How do I connect my phone?
On the scoreboard, move the mouse or tap to reveal Control with a phone. Select it, scan the QR code with your phone, and sign in. Confirm the connection to control that Board. Your game selection stays the same, and you can keep watching without pairing.
Do I need an account?
You don’t need one to watch or choose games on the scoreboard. Sign in with your email only if you want remote control from your phone. We send a code instead of asking for a password; your first successful sign-in creates your account.
Where is my sign-in code?
Check the address you entered and your spam folder. The six-digit code expires after ten minutes. Use Send another code or Change email address if needed. Enter the code in the browser that requested it. Requests and incorrect attempts are limited to protect accounts.
Are the email code and TV code the same?
No. The six-digit email code signs you in. The eight-character code on the TV connects that screen to your account.
My pairing code expired. What now?
Pairing codes expire after five minutes. Select Get a new code on the scoreboard and scan the new QR code with your phone.
Can I use several screens?
Yes. Open Boca-Board on each device and select Open the scoreboard. Each Board can show its own game or All Games. For remote control, pair each Board with the same account. You can then group Boards in the remote to share content and settings. Animations may not play at exactly the same instant.
Using your board
How do I change the game?
In All Games, click a matchup. In a single-game view, move the mouse or tap to reveal All games and return to the grid. If you’ve paired your phone, you can also change games from its remote.
Are the scores live?
Scores refresh automatically throughout the game. Updates can arrive late or be corrected. There is no guaranteed instant or second-by-second timing.
Why is the board ahead of or behind my broadcast?
Broadcast TV, streaming services, and the score feed have different delays. The scoreboard also uses a configured display delay. The game clock reflects supplied game state and may jump when new data arrives.
What happens when no game is live?
The game list includes upcoming kickoffs and final scores from the available NFL slate. Which games appear depends on the current feed.
Why did an animation appear?
Supported game events can briefly trigger a celebration or other scene before the scoreboard returns. Ordinary plays do not all trigger animations, and scenes depend on the event information available.
My screen shows disconnected. What should I do?
Open Boca-Board on that screen, check its internet connection, and make sure the device has not gone to sleep. Connection status reflects recent contact with the server, not just whether you paired it before.
What happens when I close the scoreboard?
Close the scoreboard tab or window to stop showing it. A paired Board remains in your remote list and will show as offline after it stops reporting. Closing it does not delete your account.
How do I delete my account or get help?
Email support@boca-board.com. For account requests, write from your account email. There is no self-service account-deletion button; support handles these requests after verification.
Is Boca-Board an official NFL or team product?
Boca-Board is an independent project operated by Boca Labs. It is not presented as an official product of the NFL, its teams, ESPN, or Tecmo. See Credits.
